Clothing and Household Items Give Aways

Providing the basic comforts of home.

With the support of our community donors, we work to provide our members' families with the basic comforts of home and help our members dress with style and dignity.

• Please note that we are working to uplift this program on a quarterly basis. In the meantime, should you have need please reach out to our office and we’ll provide a list of services in the Mon Valley area.

Summer Feeding

Ensuring our community’s children get a nutritious meal.

During the school year, our after-school programs work to ensure our community’s children get a nutritious meal. Our commitment continues during the summer months with our Summer Feeding Program.

In 2023, MVYATA, in partnership with the Salvation Army, distributed 2,340 meals to children and teens in need.

Backpack Give Aways

Get the school year started on the right foot.

This yearly program supports our youth and teen members as they get ready for back to school by providing backpacks and school supplies to get the school year started on the right foot.

Angel Trees

We believe everyone deserves a little magic during the holiday season.

To care for our member families, MVYATA will work with local businesses throughout the Mon Valley to place Angel Trees decorated with the age and wish lists of children and teens served by our programs.

• Parents or guardians can obtain tags for their children with their name and wish list at our office.
• Tags will display the child’s age and wish list of items needed or wanted for the holidays.
• Community members will select a child’s tag and purchase requested items. Unwrapped items can then be returned to the drop off locations where the Angel Trees are displayed or at the Center.
• Items received will be unwrapped but packaged in discrete bags so our families can wrap them at home
